This One Is Different

This One Is Different… 🤍

I was reading something the other day and I had to pause… because it made me think.

Not about anything specific, just… relationships in general.

And if you know me, you already know this is my thing. I’ve always loved talking about love, marriage, connection… all of it. Even before I got married, during my marriage, and even now, it’s something that naturally pulls me in.

But I’ve been a bit careful with it lately. Not because I don’t have thoughts, but because sometimes people hear “relationship talk” and immediately start connecting dots that don’t even exist 😅

Meanwhile, sometimes I’m just… thinking out loud.

Anyway, back to what I was reading.

It was talking about why cheating hurts so deeply, and I found myself nodding like “hmm… this is actually true.”

Because it’s never just about the act.

It’s the trust that gets broken.

It’s that quiet belief you had in someone… suddenly feeling shaky.

It’s looking back at memories and wondering what was real and what wasn’t.

It’s that small voice that tries to ask, “Was I not enough?” even when deep down you know someone else’s choices have nothing to do with your worth.

And the crazy part is, it doesn’t just stay in your heart. It affects your mind, your peace, even your body. Like your whole system just goes, “wait… what just happened?”

That’s why it’s never as simple as “just move on.”

But here’s the thing…

Even with everything I’ve read, seen, and heard, I still believe in love.

Not the loud, performative kind.

The quiet one.

The one that chooses you every day without needing an audience.

The one that stays when things aren’t perfect.

The one that understands that love is not just feelings, it’s discipline, respect, and integrity.

Maybe it’s me.

Maybe I’m just old school 😌

But my experience of life has been one where my nervous system is calm, steady… grounded in what love is supposed to feel like. And for that, I’m genuinely thankful for the life I’ve lived.

Because of that, I strongly believe faithfulness, integrity, loyalty… all of it exists. Not sometimes. Not maybe.

It exists for sure. Stamped on marble.

Maybe the world has changed, but I don’t think hearts like that ever really go out of style.

So now I’m genuinely wondering…

In a world that moves so fast and often confuses attention for connection, do you think people still truly value faithfulness the same way….or has the meaning of loyalty quietly changed? 🤍

  1. This is the first blog post in a long time that genuinely made me read every single word until the end. It was so relatable and refreshing to hear someone speak so honestly about marriage, relationships, and loyalty without pretending everything is perfect. Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful perspective. It really made me stop and think. ❤️

    1. Aww, thank you so much, Fran. 🥹❤️ That genuinely means a lot to me. My heart is simply to start honest conversations without pretending any of us have it all figured out. I’m so glad it made you pause and reflect. Thank you for taking the time to read every word and share your thoughts. More conversations like this to come❤️

    Lovely write up.
I believe in love too and in the sanctity of trust. If I love you, I would do everything within my power to uphold and protect your trust. Why would I even consider or let one moment of weakness ruin our love!
It’s so funny how these days, people are just cheating up and down. If one partner cheats, the other retaliates and they carry on the relationship. Is that a really a relationship???
    Love you, girl❤️

    1. Aww, thank you my lovely ❤️ That’s exactly how I see it too. Trust is something you protect, not gamble with. I still believe faithful love exists, and I’m choosing to keep believing in it.
