Still Standing: What I’m Most Proud Of?

What are you most proud of in your life?

If someone had asked me this question a few years ago, my answer would have been different. I might have mentioned career milestones, the joy of watching my children thrive, or the home my husband and I built together. But life has a way of reshaping your definition of pride when everything you thought you would always have suddenly changes.

You Deserve to Be Happy: Heal Through Grief and Life Again

When I lost my husband, my world stood still. The plans we made, the dreams we shared, and the future I imagined… all felt like they vanished overnight. In those early days, I couldn’t even imagine making it through a week, let alone rebuilding any part of my life. Yet somehow, through God’s grace, I did.

So today, when I think about what I’m most proud of, it’s the fact that I kept going.

That I chose to live again, even when my heart was broken.

That I continued showing up for my children, even on days when I could barely show up for myself.

That I have turned my pain into purpose… sharing my story, walking through grief (sometimes literally), and encouraging others to find light after loss.

I am proud that I’ve learned to carry both strength and softness at the same time. I’m proud that I have allowed healing to come even in waves. And i am proud that I can now look at life, not just as something to survive but as something still worth embracing.

Because pride, I have learned isn’t always about success or recognition. Sometimes it’s about resilience. About the quiet moments when no one is watching, but you still choose to rise.

What about you? what are you most proud of in your life?

Sometimes, it’s not the loud victories that define us, but the quiet ones that no one else sees.

Shalom my lovelies,

You don’t have to walk alone
